Sticking with the theme of the evening the fighters went right to work exchanging hard punches and kicks. Duangsima looked to have the heavier hands and snapped Richardson’s head back with several shots. Working effective hand and feet combinations Duangsima took control in round one.
Duangsima continued to control the action in round two, easily evading and landing her strikes. The ref called a “standing eight” count when Richardson became dazed and Duangsima immediately dropped her following the count. The ref then called another standing eight and Rachel moved in for the kill, but time ran out and Richardson made it through the round.
Duangsima dropped her opponent with a body shot at the beginning of the third round and worked her dominance over Richardson for the rest of the round punishing her with kicks to the body and solid hands to the face. Duangsima got Richardson trapped in the corner and the referee stopped the fight.
